I’m glad that we work on teams in middle school. I love the sense of community that builds throughout the school year. In our Algebra I class today teams worked together on the online practice test for chapter 7. I watched and listened as the students taught each other and supported each other while working through the problems. Teamwork makes the unpleasant tasks just a little more bearable and sometimes even fun! Building a team takes effort from each individual and I see that effort daily in Team 8 Blue.
For example, the VoiceThread we created in Science today took the effort of all three classes. When I have trouble explaining a concept to a student, I will try to remember to look for help from our team of students and I hope that the students will also remember to look for support from other people in our class (including me!)
